Chicago Bridge & Iron (NYSE: : CBI )
In April the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) air pollution rules for oil and gas storage tanks came into force. Oil and gas storage tanks can emit toxic air pollutants and ozone-forming volatile organic compounds. The EPA rules require companies to retrofit certain storage tanks with pollution control equipment, which could benefit Chicago Bridge & Iron (NYSE: CBI). CBI is an engineering and construction firm, and a major player in the oil and gas infrastructure and storage market. The company could benefit from a spike in orders for LNG storage tank air pollution retrofits. Separately, CBI could see more business as lawmakers mull legislation to expedite LNG export permits.
